Question 1

What is InstaPin?

Accepted Answer

InstaPin turns any address, or the spot you're standing on, into one short link. Anyone who taps it gets directions in Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze.

Question 2

Do the people I send it to need an app or account?

Accepted Answer

No. The link opens a simple page in their browser with buttons for their maps app.

Question 3

How is this different from sharing a Google Maps link?

Accepted Answer

Your link works with any maps app, stays the same when your location changes, and can include parking and entrance pins, notes and photos so people find the exact spot, not just the street.

Question 4

Can I pin a place that has no address?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tap the location button next to the search bar to pin where you’re standing, then drag the pin to the exact spot and add a note like "blue tent past the second gate."

Question 5

How accurate is my location?

Accepted Answer

Phone GPS is usually accurate to within 5 to 20 meters, less under trees or between tall buildings. You can drag the pin to fix it before you share.

Question 6

Is it free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Free pins get a short random link like instap.in/k7f2q with a fixed location and directions.

Question 7

Can I get my own name, like instap.in/tacotruck?

Accepted Answer

Custom names come with the Mover and Fleet plans.

Question 8

Can I change a pin's location after I share it?

Accepted Answer

On Mover and Fleet, yes. You can move your pin anytime and the link stays the same, so your bio, posts and QR codes keep working. Free pins can't be changed.

Question 9

Is there a free trial?

Accepted Answer

Mover comes with a 30-day free trial.
